On Thursday 5th November Dean Whitaker the Local Action Team Chairman and Bruce Inglis an LAT member went to Cardiff on a training day for Justice Seen Justice Done Community Crime Fighters.

The Community Crime Fighters programme was announced in September 2008 and aims to develop stronger links between crime-fighting agencies and the communities they serve. It is a training and support scheme for 3,600 members of the public who are already active in their community and who want to know more about what they can do to help tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
The crime fighter training gives them the knowledge, skills and confidence to act as advocates for their communities in relation to the police and criminal justice agencies.
Having now completed the training Bruce and Dean are now more able to help local residents with concerns that may affect them regarding Policing or Council issues. This means that the LAT is now even better placed to work with the local authorities in making Holway a better and safer place to live and work.
If you live in Holway and are having any issues and would like some help, please get in touch with the LAT and we will do our best to assist you. |
