PCSO 9632 Jamie Munro has been busy delivering letters this week giving advice on vehicle crime in Holway.

This is a reminder to please ensure that your vehicle is kept secure at all times. It is important thaPoliceBadget ALL valuables are removed from your vehicle and not simply placed out of sight in the glove compartment. It is also worth considering removing cradles that hold sat navs and mobile phones from view as offenders are taking chances that items of high value are being stored out of sight in the vehicle. Items that are being targeted the most are car stereos, sat navs and mp3 players.

I have summarised the key points below:

  • Remove all valuables from your vehicle
  • Use a garage or private driveway to park your vehicle where applicable
  • Park vehicle in a well lit area if garage/driveway not available
  • Ensure vehicle is locked and immobilised when parked

These key points will reduce the chances of you becoming a victim of car crime. If you have any issues that you would like to discuss further, please contact me on the details provided at the top of this letter, or call our general enquiries number 0845 456 7000.
